Any code returned by a search in MSP Navigator will be accepted by CMS. See the 'Search Help' link. If a code is entered, do not include decimals. Special default for LIABILITY ONLY reporting (NOT No-Fault or Workers' Compensation): IF: 1) the ORM Indicator is N; AND 2) claim for loss of consortium, an errors and omissions liability insurance claim, a directors and officers liability insurance claim, or a claim resulting from a wrongful action related to employment status action was/is alleged; AND 3) there is no allegation of a situation involving medical care or a physical or mental injury; AND 4) the settlement, judgment, award or other payment releases or has the effect of releasing medicals; THEN a value of ‘NOINJ’ may be submitted. If NOINJ’ is submitted for ICD diagnosis code then 1) no other ICD diagnosis codes should be submitted and 2) ‘NOINJ’ or blank spaces must be submitted for Cause of Injury or Illness code.
